About Me
I have worked in the education sector for 15 years in a range of Education settings, including as an ICT Advisor and a Deputy Head Teacher. My leadership and grammar work has been recognised in ESTYN Case studies and our team in Cwmbach Communty Primary School will become the first Primary School in Wales to achieve the Proud Trust's Rainbow Award.

Starting my primary teaching career in St Gwladys Bargoed School, I worked for 12 years in a variety of roles, including ICT Co-ordinator, Assessment Leader and member of the SLT. During this time, I worked with Cardiff Aiport to design their school visit program, something that still runs today, with great success.

In 2006, I was humbled to be appointed as ICT advisor for South East Wales. Supporting schools ranging from those in special measures to those at the top of their game, this was an incredible experience and fuelled my love for supporting schools in a wide range of situations.

After a year of being an advisor, I adopted my son. He's now 9 years old and certainly keeps me on my toes. He is one of the reasons that I want to help other schools, as being the son of two dads, I want him to grow up in a world where his family is as accepted as any other.

In 2018, I was appointed as Deputy Head Teacher of Cwmbach Community Primary School. I had an incredible 4 years in this school, culminating in my work on literacy and leadership being recognised in ESTYN case studies.

I am excited about the opportunity to share my experience with other schools and help them become the best that they can be. Let us go on this journey together.
